REFLECTION

This is the overall part of my reflection where I will cover the process as a whole, but specific design processes are detailed under each character in their respective pages.

As a whole, this project was very enjoyable. I enjoy creating characters in my free time, and my favorite part of doing so is the design aspect, especially when I have a general concept I am supposed to be reflecting (this is also why all the characters have their Greek term somewhere within their design). As a goal, I wanted to initially animate them before I realized I definitely would not have the time for that, and then settled on making a site to introduce the characters as if they were a roster within a game (if you're curious, I was specifically referencing the sites Valorant and Overwatch have for their roster of fighters).

For each of the characters, I took into account their general definitions and functions, then used those to determine a character class for them (mostly based on DnD ones, but not strictly), then used their general vibes and combined them with the traditional aesthetical associations with their classes to create a design.

I'm not that accustomed to making websites, even with Wix, so it took a bit of trial and error, but I am proud of my end product for the time being. One day in the future when I have more time, I may actually animate these guys (in which case, I'll be sure to send you a link to the video).

For my "target audience," I had to get creative, because within the context of this site, and roleplaying that these would be fighters in a video game, I had to write their definition and uses in the voice of a bio. I think I achieved this, or at least the best I could do without breaking the "illusion" of what this site is supposed to be.

I hope you enjoy exploring this website as much as I enjoyed making it!
